JUNG_E | Official Trailer | Netflix

Humanity's hope and ultimate weapon
A.I. combat warrior JUNG_E

Directed by Yeon Sang-ho of《Hellbound》 and《Train to Busan》

JUNG_E | January 20, only on Netflix

From the director of ‘Train to Busan’ and ‘Hellbound.’

After unveiling an official teaser last month, Netflix now releases a 2-minute trailer for JUNG_E,  Train to Busan director Yeon Sang-ho‘s upcoming film. Fresh off the success of  Netflix’s dark fantasy television series Hellbound, Sang-ho’s JUNG_E ventures from the world of the supernatural to the post-apocalyptic future in which humans are forced to live in man-made shelters due to rising sea levels and resource depletion.

In the Year 2194, scientists from the allied forces led by the team leader of Kronoid Lab, Seohyun (Kang Soo-yeon), and the institute head Sang-Hoon (Ryu Kyung-soo) attempt to clone the brain of a heroic soldier to create the best combat command AI ever. The experiment is seen as a potential key to winning the war, but as shown in the trailer, comes with its complications. Multiple clones of Jung_E, played by Kim Hyun-joo, are seen lined up in a lab and later thrust into action against weaponized robotic dogs.

JUNG_E will release via Netflix on January 20, 2023. Take a closer look at the trailer above.
